Committed to

Excellence

We are committed to manufacturing highest quality DR & BF grade pellet conforming to international standards and in strict adherence to the ESG norms.

Pellets are increasingly the most globally accepted green way of making steel, that help reduce CO2 while improving productivity. With technologies in place that reduce emissions, save water, and leverage Solar power and Natural Gas, Essar remains responsible about its carbon footprint.

With rich legacy in steel and pellet making we have also partnered with credible institutions such as CSIR -IMMT Bhubaneswar and NMDC for validation of our process and product.

We are committed to using green technologies to tailor products as per our customers’ requirements. The resultant Pellets developed through the R&D process have been validated at Emirate Steel and Qatar Steel.

“At Essar Minmet our endeavour is to create highest quality
international standard pellet in a greener and environmentally
sustainable way, to cater the world demand with focus on
innovation and R&D.”

How pellets are leading

The Global Green Steel March

Pellets are increasingly being adopted in the steelmaking process, due to multiple benefits across the value chain:-

  • Pellets can be formed from iron ore fines, which otherwise, lie unutilized, and pose significant environmental hazards thereby requiring strict containment of fines
  • Further, pellet usage allows the beneficiation of low-grade iron ores to a higher usable grade, thereby reducing the demand load on existing iron ore mines, thereby increasing mine life
  • Pellets can be used with existing steelmaking technology, and increase productivity, thereby reducing emissions in the steelmaking process

Driven by the increasing consumption and focus towards decarbonization of the steel industry to be ESG compliant, demand for pellets to be utilized for steelmaking is increasing with each passing year.
